DC WatchMaker Ltd Traditional Watch & Clock Repairs

Grandfather clocks

We sell a range of beautiful classic and heritage grandfather clocks built by skilled craftsmen. A grandfather clock is normally classified as a longcase clock with a height more than 6' (1.8m).

The introduction of the pendulum in England in the 1650s heralded the great age of clock making in Britain. It was to prove a technological lead that remained virtually unchallenged throughout the 18th and 19th centuries.

DC WatchmakerCustomers who visit our Exeter showroom have an opportunity to view some of the finest clock workmanship of a bygone age. Each product is hand made and every detail has been considered in order to reproduce craftsmanship of the past masters. The cabinetwork reveals the fine proportions of the classic period designs. The intricate detail of the marquetry, dials and hands have been faithfully recreated.
